My German Friend – By Your Side in Germany

1. Booking a Service

You can request a service through the contact form on my website or by email.

Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking or create an obligation to pay.

Before confirming an appointment, we will agree on the service, date, time, duration, price, and any applicable additional costs.

A booking becomes binding once we have agreed on the details and I have confirmed the appointment with you.

2. Services & Prices

All prices are listed in euros (€).

Any additional charges will be discussed and agreed upon before the appointment is confirmed.

3. Payment

Online services: Payment is required in advance via PayPal.

In-person services: Payment can be made in cash or via PayPal, generally immediately after the appointment.

No payment is required when submitting an initial service request.

4. Additional Time

Sometimes appointments take a little longer than expected.

For the following services, additional time can be arranged in 30-minute increments, subject to availability:

For German Tutoring and Coffee with Your German Friend, extensions can be arranged individually.

Additional time will only be charged if we have agreed to extend the appointment.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

I understand that plans sometimes change!

Please let me know at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.

If something unexpected happens, please contact me as soon as possible.

No automatic cancellation fee is currently charged.

If I need to cancel an appointment, I will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative. If we cannot reschedule, any advance payment for services not provided will be refunded.

Your statutory withdrawal rights remain unaffected.

6. Travel & Transportation

Travel within 10 km of Ramstein-Miesenbach is included at no additional charge.

For appointments beyond 10 km, a travel fee of €0.50 per additional kilometer applies, based on the one-way driving distance from Ramstein-Miesenbach to the appointment location.

For example, an appointment 20 km away would have an additional travel fee of €5.

Any applicable travel fees will be communicated and agreed upon before the booking is confirmed.

Additional expenses, such as parking fees, will only be charged if agreed upon in advance.

7. Late Arrivals

If you're running late, please contact me as soon as possible.

Depending on availability, we may need to shorten or reschedule the appointment.

Any applicable charges will be handled in accordance with our agreement and applicable law.

8. Scope of Services

My German Friend provides practical assistance, everyday guidance, language support, appointment accompaniment, and tutoring.

I do not provide legal, medical, tax, or financial advice.

My language support does not replace certified or sworn interpreting or translation services where officially required.

I cannot guarantee decisions, outcomes, or processing times of public authorities, healthcare providers, schools, or other third parties.

9. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Consumers entering into contracts remotely or outside business premises may have a statutory right of withdrawal under German law.

Where applicable, the statutory withdrawal information and model withdrawal form will be provided before a binding contract is concluded.

The voluntary cancellation arrangements described above do not limit statutory withdrawal rights.

If a service is requested to begin during an applicable withdrawal period, the relevant legal requirements will be observed.
